I am a Brazilian software developer with nearly 30 years of experience in technology, working across software engineering, cloud computing, data engineering, geospatial systems, and artificial intelligence. Alongside my professional career, I have developed a long-standing interest in Social Technologies, Citizen Science, Open Data, and Agroecology, exploring how digital technologies can strengthen communities and support more resilient and regenerative food systems.
My work is centered on building open digital infrastructure for agroecology. I believe technology should empower people, make knowledge more accessible, and help connect local initiatives into global networks. I am particularly interested in combining collaborative mapping, open knowledge, geospatial data, AI, and citizen science to support agroecological transition and environmental stewardship.
I am the co-creator, lead developer, and maintainer of the Agroecology Map and One Million Voices of Agroecology platforms. These volunteer-driven initiatives document agroecological experiences from around the world, connect farmers, researchers, educators, organizations, and communities, and contribute to building a global digital commons for agroecological knowledge.
I am also developing ClimaBalance, an open platform focused on climate action, carbon footprint assessment, ecosystem restoration, and transparent environmental impact.
Outside of my professional work, I practice agroecological gardening and permaculture, applying the same principles that inspire the projects I build: diversity, resilience, collaboration, and respect for nature.
